This artwork is my own interpretation of the impact of Simpang Susun Semanggi to Jakarta’s urban form.

Jakarta’s urban form are shaped by different layers of cityscapes that stacked on top of each others. Making connection that reach through all the layers has been the biggest urban challenge that Jakarta’s faced. Connection between them with simple unified infrastructure can do more than easier mobility. It opens to a better opportunity, communication, and many more.

 

Simpang Susun Semanggi then exists as a needed void that intersect itself to each and every layer. Opening them and making connection throughout every layers. Its impact is crucial as it opens Jakarta to a unified communication and mobility.
