Air Doa
Copper, water, LDR sensor, sound installation
100 x 50 x 100 cm
2023
Air Doa (loosely translated into water embedded with prayer) is an interactive installation activated by an approaching audience. I was inspired by my mother, who often chanted prayers into the water as a medium. The water is then consumed or used as bath water. This installation aims to share the empowerment in the jangjawokan; prayers passed down to the women in my family. Jangjawokan focuses on self-love, self-assurance, and agency. In Air Doa, I intend to visually convey the prayer's power through the pattern in the water.
